adopting a puppy or kitten may be the
right thing for you.

Go to your local shelter

[narrator] Sadly, many puppies and kittens are surrendered
to shelters because people had either forgotten
or weren't aware of the time needed for proper training.

[narrator] Puppies and kittens have special nutritional needs
for their growing bodies
and you'll want to feed them several times per day.

[narrator] Your new puppy will need a lot of supervision
to make sure they don't get into things
you don't want them to get into.

You'll also need to take them out frequently
in order to house train them.

to socialize them to other animals,
introduce them to lots of different people,
and expose them to different environments.

When you visit the shelter please consider
adopting two kittens.

and they'll keep each other busy
and exhaust some of their energy.

adopting an adolescent, adult, or senior animal
